Frame Systems

Many homeowners don't put much consideration into the frame system around their door. For your door to work properly, it must be paired with the surrounding components. Together, your entry system gives you the energy performance and security necessary.

Choosing the frame for your front entry door has never been this easy ... Our standard frame includes a Z-AC Series Sill, Ultimate Astragal and Weather Sealing components to provide a barrier to wind and water. There are plenty of upgrade options in frames systems but for the ultimate protection on your doors, we're introducing the North Atlantic Series Entry System to get the best possible protection. Read more about our frame systems.

The Endura Z-AC Series Sill

product zacsillThe Z-AC Sill automatically self-adjusts to create the perfect door seal under any conditions The world is not square or true, level or plumb—but the Z-Series Articulating Cap Sill (Z-AC) is. The self-compensating Z-AC counteracts gap variations to deliver a perfect seal.

A constant seal between the threshold cap and the door bottom is required to obtain performance from an exterior door unit. The settling of a house over time, movement of the door, or heavy foot traffic can compromise the seal between the bottom of the door and sill over the life of the door unit. These gaps can lead to uncomfortable drafts, humidity, or even damaging water infiltration. The Z-AC Sill automatically adjusts to these changing field conditions, without the need to manually screw and unscrew the cap up and down.
